The Soft Power of Yielding:
Silent Yoga & Meditation Retreat in the High Desert of Oregon
with Kendall Tetsworth
Join Kendall in the high desert of Central Oregon for 5-days & 4-nights of silent connection and contemplation at Green Rock Retreat Center, a solar-powered sanctuary set along the rim of the Crooked River Gorge. Held in sacred silence, this retreat offers a rare opportunity to step away from habitual noise and distraction, creating the conditions for profound rest, clarity, and inner reconnection. Kendall will gently guide you through daily meditation, mindful yoga, and awareness practices designed to support nervous system regulation, emotional balance, and the steady cultivation of inner resilience — all within a supportive container that honors both silence and individual process.
The rhythm of each day is intentionally spacious, balancing structured practice with ample time for rest, reflection, and quiet observation. Walk the labyrinth at sunrise, sit beneath ancient juniper trees, or simply listen—to the wind, to the land, and to yourself. In this environment of shared silence and natural beauty, the layers of outward attention begin to soften, allowing a deeper steadiness and presence to emerge.

About the Property
Green Rock Retreat Center is a 50-acre semi-silent sanctuary perched on the rim of the Crooked River Gorge, 30 miles north of Bend, Oregon. Every element of the grounds —from the land itself to the spaces created within it — is designed to foster presence, ease, and a return to the natural rhythms of the body and mind. Off-grid and fully solar-powered, the property blends high desert ruggedness with serene, contemplative spaces that invite deep reconnection with a more primitive side of our soul. The landscape is alive with resilient life from fluorescent green lichen along the rock ridge to sage, desert flowers, and ancient junipers dotting the terrain, providing a grounding backdrop for meditation, yoga, and reflection.
Green Rock’s thoughtfully designed spaces support both solitude and quiet connection. A large open-air pavilion and communal dining area (alcohol-free) offer room for gentle movement, mindful meals, and shared moments, while tucked-away corners, hiking trails, and a labyrinth provide opportunities for inner stillness and a path back to the present moment. Guests can also soak in the pool, gather around the fire pit, or simply sit with the expansive views of the surrounding high desert and distant Cascade Mountains.
