The Property:

Playa Viva is a sustainable boutique hotel located on the western coast of Mexico, where the retreat center’s guest experience is designed to make you feel like you’re on vacation in your own private sanctuary. At Playa viva get ready to be fully immersed in nature as each room, with sweeping ocean views, is thoughtfully designed to welcome in the natural breeze, allowing you to fall asleep to the sound of the waves and wake up with the warm ocean air on your skin.

Nestled between the sparkling waters of the Pacific Ocean and the majestic Sierra Madre Mountains near the village of Juluchuca, Playa Viva is situated on a mile of pristine and private beach. The property’s nearly 200 acres includes an estuary, an Aztec archeological site, a turtle sanctuary, and a coastal forest and mangrove ecosystem, which supports an array of stunning wildlife. In late December, the whales start to breach in the distance, and that magic lasts through March. The natural landscape and luxurious setting creates an escape from it all while providing a jumping off point for a host of adventures and experiences. Enjoy hiking, scuba diving, deep-sea fishing, bird watching, kayaking and visiting the on-site baby sea turtle sanctuary. Explore the diverse coastal ecosystem at Playa Viva, it’s all here waiting for you—doing absolutely everything or simply nothing at all.

Playa viva’s commitment around food is to provide a farm-to-table experience serving fresh, healthy foods from their on site farm and other local producers and supporting local farmers who provide milk, cheese, fruits, beans, corn, and eggs. Tour the on-site farm and see where some of your foods are sourced, including coconuts, mangos, cashews, tamarind, tomatoes, lettuces, cactus and many other delights. Because of their close connection to local foods, Playa Viva is able to accommodate a wide variety of diets and allergies including vegan, vegetarian, pescatarian, omnivore, Kosher, gluten free, sugar free and other dietary needs.

Inclusions:

• Ocean front yoga 1-2 times daily including a balance of meditation, vinyasa, and restorative yoga guided by Lyndz

• 6 days / 5 nights accommodation

• 3 Meals/day: local farm to table, chef prepared, fresh vegetarian meals (at times fish will be available)

• Airport Transportation from ZIH airport to playa viva retreat center

• Late arrivals/ Early departures will be accommodated by the retreat center

• 10% gratuities [will be collected as a lump sum for our group and distributed to retreat staff]

• 2% donation to the Regenerative Trust, benefiting the Turtle Sanctuary and other environmental and community development work around Playa Viva, Juluchuca and the local watershed

This EcoCasita provides complete privacy and is the only room outfitted with a Queen bed. These rooms have an unobstructed ocean view. Queen EcoCasitas have a private bathroom on the same level and features sliding doors that open for a 180° degree ocean view or close for complete privacy.

$1495 SHARED GROUP DORM ROOM - (FULL) This is you in a large shared room with a single bed with a small group of yogis. If you are coming with a friend, and are open to making more friends, this room is for you. If you come solo and wish to be paired with a few roommates, you will make lifelong friends. All rooms have ensuite bathrooms.
