The Bellingham Yoga Collective is proud to offer several partial scholarships each year in an effort to make yoga more accessible to our community. Scholarships are available for people interested in practicing with us regularly or who would like to attend our teacher training. Please read the requirements fully prior to applying.

Practice Scholarships

Inclusion & Accessibility Scholarships

At BYC we aspire to create a safe space for all and to break barriers which prevent anyone the ability to practice in community no matter their race, age, size, ability, gender, or orientation. Class scholarships are available on a sliding scale basis to anyone who identifies as part of a group which is underrepresented in the yoga industry including BIPOC and LGBTQ+ as we strive to increase the visibility of all those who may otherwise be marginalized in our community, as well as to anyone who is experiencing a barrier to accessing yoga, including those whose circumstances limit their ability to afford to pay for membership or classes If paying full price for our yoga classes or memberships is not financially viable for you, please apply for this scholarship.

Lynn Heimsoth Memorial Scholarship

Lynn Heimosth was a beloved member of BYC and the Principal of Sunnyland Elementary in Bellingham. She dedicated her life to the education of youth and she was devoted to her mindfulness practice. She visited BYC 3-5 times a week and she is dearly missed within our walls. Lynn's life was taken from her early and this scholarship is available for someone currently working in the Bellingham School District who would like to use a yoga teacher training certificate and skills to integrate the tools of mindfulness into the education industry.

Inclusion Scholarship

We are committed to amplifying the visibility and voices of individuals who identify as BIPOC, LGBTQ+ and all other groups who are underrepresented and marginalized by the yoga industry to ensure they are seen, heard, and have the opportunity to inspire others through their teaching.
