Yoga is not one-size-fits-all — and it was never meant to be. This workshop is designed for anyone navigating injury, recovering from surgery, living with chronic illness, or simply needing more accessible options in their practice. Rather than offering a list of “special” poses, this workshop focuses on how to modify. Learn practical strategies for adapting common postures, transitions, and class formats so you can participate safely and confidently in a wide range of yoga settings.
Gain confidence in making moment-to-moment decisions during class — when to modify, when to pause, and how to adjust without feeling singled out or left behind. Just as importantly, we’ll address the emotional side of practicing with injury or illness — navigating shame and mistrust in your body and reclaiming your agency on the mat.
This workshop includes a 1-1 consultation option with Kendall to discuss more individualized needs.
CANCELLATION & REFUND POLICY:
Registration for all events, including trainings and immersion workshops, is non-refundable. However, if you cannot attend, you may transfer your spot to another person by contacting us via phone, email, or in person. Thank you for your consideration with this policy as so much time, resources, and heart go into planning these experiences for our community!
*SLIDING SCALE PRICING GUIDELINES:
BYC’s sliding scale pricing model helps keep our events accessible while sustaining the costs of running our studio and making it possible for our teachers to thrive. We ask you to choose the tier that best reflects your household’s current financial situation. Your selection is personal and honored without judgment — we trust you to choose what feels right for your circumstances.
Community – For those with limited financial flexibility who can meet basic needs, but where higher rates would limit participation
Sustainer – For those with reliable income and minimal financial strain; covers the cost of the program and helps keep it running
Supporter – For those with financial security who can comfortably contribute more; goes beyond covering costs — helps us grow, supports fair wages, and expands access for others
