This workshop begins with a simple question that can become a guiding light as we navigate the ever-changing landscape features of life:
How do I face this from my heart?
In Buddhism, the Brahma Viharas - or four immeasurables - are described as the four faces of the heart. Like the four directions on a compass, each offers a unique orientation for how we show up in the world. Each one is both an internal quality of being and an expression of embodied action.
The Brahma Viharas are:
• Metta – loving-kindness
• Karuna – compassion
• Mudita – joy for each other's joy
• Upekkha – equanimity
This spring, join Liza to awaken the four faces of your heart through movement, mindfulness, and reflection practices. Together we’ll explore how these timeless qualities can spur presence, resilience, connection, and ease in everyday living.
This series offers a total of 15 CEUs (10 contact hours + 5 non-contact) for registered yoga teachers to apply toward BYC’s 300-Hr Advanced Yoga Studies Program or Yoga Alliance continuing education hours.
CANCELLATION & REFUND POLICY:

*SLIDING SCALE PRICING GUIDELINES:
BYC’s sliding scale pricing model helps keep our events accessible while sustaining the costs of running our studio and making it possible for our teachers to thrive. We ask you to choose the tier that best reflects your household’s current financial situation. Your selection is personal and honored without judgment — we trust you to choose what feels right for your circumstances.
Community – For those with limited financial flexibility who can meet basic needs, but where higher rates would limit participation
Sustainer – For those with reliable income and minimal financial strain; covers the cost of the program and helps keep it running
Supporter – For those with financial security who can comfortably contribute more; goes beyond covering costs — helps us grow, supports fair wages, and expands access for others
