Yin Yoga for Feeling & Healing: A Broken Hearts Club

with Leah Adams

When you nurture where you are, you get where you want to go.

Friday | January 9

6:00 - 7:30 p.m.
Location: Granary Ave Studio

Investment: $25

We all need spaces to heal and feel together. In fact, research suggests that the presence of community induces feel-good neurotransmitters, including oxytocin, and improves physical and psychological health metrics. As a culture we celebrate and make space for positive emotions, but we lack shared spaces to process loss, grief and overwhelm. These life experiences are woven into our biology, reflected in our bodies.

Many of us are living with loss in various forms, experiencing environmental, ancestral or cultural grief. Carrying this all adds to the overwhelm that we can feel some days from daily living. For 90 minutes, we’ll come together to pause and make space for the body, heart and mind as we move through body-based practices that are designed to activate the body’s parasympathetic response and improve neurobiological resilience.

What To Expect:

  • 90-minute Yin Yoga practice

  • Restorative breathwork

  • Curated playlist (including a few songs with lyrics)

  • Periods of quiet

  • Reflection question

  • Selected Reading
