Vinyasa Krama: Small Group Mentorship on the Art of Sequencing
with Liza Higbee-Robinson
January 14 - February 11, 2026
Dive into the art and science of Vinyasa Krama — a form of peak pose sequencing that honors both the physical body and the subtle energetics of asana practice. Translated, “Vi” means order, “Nyasa” means placement, and “Krama” reflects the uninterrupted sequence of events from beginning to end. Together, they describe a methodical unfolding where each posture, cue, and transition builds naturally toward an intentional and rhythmic class arc.
Through study, hands-on exploration, and Liza’s guidance, this small-group mentorship invites yoga teachers to move beyond surface-level sequencing and craft classes that flow like stories through the body — purposeful, cohesive, and informed by functional anatomy.

What To Expect
Each session will offer space for dialogue, feedback, and refinement alongside a community of peers. Over the course of this mentorship series, we’ll explore:
• Foundations of Vinyasa Krama and how to creatively apply them as a teacher
• Strategies and templates for building sequences that safely guide students toward specific peak poses, with opportunities to shape your own
• Functional anatomy applications to support intelligent class progressions
• Pose breakdowns to provide better preparation, adaptation, and accessibility for a wider range of students
• How to weave in philosophical and energetic themes in an authentic and embodied way
Whether you're a newer teacher looking to reinforce your sequencing foundations or one with years of experience seeking inspiration and expansion, this mentorship offers space for you in growth, refinement, and transformation. There are a total of 16.5 CEUs available for existing yoga teachers to apply toward BYC’s 300-Hr Advanced Yoga Studies Program or Yoga Alliance continuing education hours.
*Graduates of BYC’s 200-Hr YTT program eligible for a discount off of standard registration rate. Enter promo code “BYCGRAD15” at checkout.

CANCELLATION & REFUND POLICY
Registration for all events, including trainings and immersion workshops, is non-refundable. However, if you cannot attend, you may transfer your spot to another person by contacting us via phone, email, or in person.
We understand that plans can change, but our no-refund policy helps us maintain the quality and sustainability of our offerings. Organizing events requires significant time, effort, and resources from both the studio and our teachers. In addition, many of our trainings & workshops have limited spacing — last-minute cancellations not only prevent others from attending, but also affect the viability of the event for our dedicated instructors. As a small, local business, your understanding and cooperation not only helps us support our teachers, but also allows us to continue providing enriching experiences for our community!
