Healing the Food & Body Relationship: 5-Week Yoga Therapy Series
with Gentri Watson
January 8, 15, 22, 29 & February 5
Thursdays | 6:00 - 7:30 p.m.
Location: The Annex
Investment: $265
Our relationships with food and our bodies often carry layers of emotion, conditioning, and lived experience. In this five-week yoga therapy series led by Gentri Watson, a yoga therapist and long-time practitioner with a compassionate, trauma-aware approach, you’ll be guided to gently explore these patterns with embodied awareness. Through yoga therapy-based movement, breathwork, nervous system education, and guided reflection, we’ll discover tools to help regulate, reconnect, and better understand our eating patterns in the context of nervous system awareness.
What to Expect:
During our time together, we’ll explore how the nervous system shapes behaviors around food and body image while practicing grounding and self-regulation skills that support presence and choice. There will be space to honor personal experiences at a pace that feels appropriate, with gentle guidance offered throughout, along with opportunities to:
Reconnect with body signals and inner cues
Gently explore triggers and the emotions that may underlie eating behaviors
Identify personal resources that support steadiness and self-compassion
Engage in supportive group discussion and shared reflection
Each participant also receives a 30-minute individual intake session before the series begins to help tailor the experience to their needs. This program is intended for women seeking support around food and body challenges, disordered eating patterns, or anxiety and overwhelm related to eating. No prior yoga experience is required.
