Kid’s Yoga Series:

Ages 5-9

with Ashley Bratt

Tuesdays 3:30-4:15
September 13, September 20, October 4, October 11

This children’s yoga series will cultivate a foundational understanding of both mindfulness and purposeful movement, all while having fun with yoga. Through storytelling, music, cooperative play, and asana, children will learn what it is to be mindfully in motion, both in and out of the studio. Our intention is to create a safe and playful space where children can create, teach, grow, and learn while becoming mindfully aware of their own movement and breath in relation to the world around them.

Ashley Bratt, RYT-200, is a former child and adolescent behavioral analyst and mother of 3 young children. In 2015, Ashley pursued a certification in yoga while working with children and adolescents on the autism spectrum and quickly discovered that many of the mindfulness tools used in yoga practice were beneficial to the clients she worked with. Ashley began developing a mindfulness curriculum rooted in yoga theory and practice specifically for children, and taught her first children’s yoga series in 2019. She hopes that by nurturing a child's foundation in mindfulness and movement today, that future generations will then have the necessary tools to create an environment of mindfulness, kindness, connection, and understanding
