Cat Jones
Vinyasa + Mantra
RYT-500 // E-RYT 200 // RPYT
Cat’s yoga journey began in the early 2000s when she discovered Rodney Yee tapes in the family basement. After a long detour away from yoga, she found her way back and started teaching in 2015. Her early experiences were with fiery Vinyasa and Power classes, though more recently her practice has been grounded in meditation, Yoga Nidra, Buddhist philosophy, and Bhakti traditions.
Cat is a student and a seeker. She believes in the power of ritual and community, and that a consistent practice helps us live with integrity and awaken to our lives. Her classes are stimulating and creative, curious and inviting. She’s a believer in storytelling and myth, infusing her classes with a mix of art, poetry, nature, and philosophy.
Her study of recovery and trauma-informed yoga has influenced every part of her teaching. She believes we are all stronger, softer, and wiser than we know. Her goal is to act as a guide, helping students find their own way, cultivate their own strengths, and take their yoga off the mat.
When not teaching, she’s tending to her needy basset hounds, getting lost in art, looking for new things to learn, and exploring Bellingham with her husband.
